Data Storage
Echo TTS stores the following data locally on your device:
- Voice and speed preferences
- Text-to-speech history for replay functionality
- Website URLs and titles for history context
- Extension settings and preferences
No Data Transmission
Echo TTS does not transmit any data to external servers. All information is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage API and never leaves your computer.
Data Usage
The stored data is used solely to:
- Remember your voice and speed preferences
- Provide text-to-speech history for replaying previous sessions
- Display website context in your history
Data Deletion
You can delete all extension data by:
- Uninstalling the extension
- Clearing extension data in Chrome settings (chrome://settings/content/all)
